Case Checkin, Checkout & Undo Checkout

SFHub Visualizer  automatically organizes the activity disabling concurrent access to the same Case. What this means is that every time you make a change, SFHub Visualizer automatically performs a Check Out, reserving the case for you and disabling other user actions on the same case. Each time you stop working with a case, SFHub Visualizer automatically commits the changes, saving the information and releasing the resource Case.

SFHub Visualizer enables and disables its functions according to the status of the resource (case) and provides automatic notification every time the resource state (Case Status) changes.

Note

Most actions are always available, though it depends on who you are (user name) and the case status. When an action is not available, the Case Status icon is still shown, and the action itself is grayed out (disabled).

Check Out a Case

Sometimes when working with a case you might manually reserve the case for yourself, by requesting an explicit check out.

Note

SFHub Visualizer performs an implicit check out whenever you make any change, such as a case runner action or an adjustment, in a case that you have not yet checked out.

Sometimes when working with a case you can perform a manual check in to commit changes thus far, and then do a manual check out again to continue working with the case. It is under such circumstances that SFHub Visualizer provides the ability to do manual check out.

To manually check out a Case:

  1. Click on the  Choose Display icon and select the display.

  2. Click on the Case Search icon and select the Case.

  3. Click on the  Case Status icon to view a menu of options.

  4. Click on Checkout.

Automatically Check In a Case

SFHub Visualizer does an automatic check in on your working Sigmafine Case, whenever you check it out and you either:

  • Decide to open a different display
  • Decide to open a different Case

Manually Check In a Case

Sometimes when working with a case, you may want to commit some changes. For such instances, SFHub Visualizer provides the ability to manually check in a case. When a case is checked in, it becomes free.

Note

SFHub Visualizer automatically checks in the case on your behalf, every time you deselect the case, select a new case, select a new display or log out.

To manually check in a Case:

  1. Click on the  Choose Display icon and select the display.

  2. Click on the Case Search icon and select the Case.

  3. Click on the  Case Status icon to display a menu of options.

    Case Status menu - Checkin

  4. Click on Checkin.

Undo a Case Check Out

When working with a case in which you have made changes, if you do not want those changes to be committed, you can use the "Undo Checkout" feature. This feature gives you the ability to reverse a check out without committing changes.

To reverse a check out:

  1. Click on the  Choose Display icon and select the display.

  2. Click on the  Case Search icon and select the Case.

  3. Click on the  Case Status icon to display a menu of options.
