SFHub Visualizer Messaging
SFHub Visualizer provides a Messaging system similar to a Chat window, that allows you to exchange text messages and attachments with other currently connected SFHub Visualizer users. The messaging system includes two areas; GROUPS and USERS. The GROUPS area supports four (4) different groups, each acting as a communication channel, allowing you to send and receive messages. The USERS area displays the initials and names of users current logged into SFHub Visualizer.
The four main groups under the GROUPS area are:
- Al or All: All users who are connected to SigmafineHub
- Ce or Case: All users who are using the same Case
- Dy or Display: All users who are using the same Display.
- Da or Display and Case: All users who are using the same
- Rt or Report: All users who are using the same Report
- Ra or Report and Case: All users who are using the same
Currently, you are limited to sending text messages and attachments, though more functionality will be subsequently extended in the future, such as supporting hyperlinks, clipboards, etc.
How Messaging Works
Each time a new message is received, it is highlighted by a sound (which can be disabled) and the appearance of a colored marker on the Messaging icon and on your initials in the Messaging panel. Once you log out of SFHub Visualizer, your Messaging Chat area is automatically cleared of text and attachments. The following table provides a description for each state of the Messaging icon.
Messaging Marker States
| Marker State | Description |
|---|---|
| When the Messaging icon shows a green marker (a solid green circle), it indicates that one or more new messages have been received. | |
| When the Messaging icon does not show the green marker, it indicates that no new messages have been received. | |
| When your initials and name in the Messaging panel display with a green marker (a solid green circle), it indicates that one or more new messages have not yet been read. | |
| When your initials and name in the Messaging panel display without the green marker, it indicates that there are either no messages, or none that you haven't already read. |
