Troubleshooting
Open Display Errors
When opening a display, you may encounter one of the following errors:
Display not in sync
This error indicates that the display you are trying to open is not synchronized with the Sigmafine Model. This can happen if the underlying Sigmafine Model has been modified since the display was last saved.
Users may see two different error messages:
Model Revision Mismatch
This error message is raised when the system detects that the model revision number stored in the display metadata does not match the current model revision number.
The revision number is incremented each time a change is made to the Sigmafine Model:
- Adding or removing elements (e.g., streams, nodes),
- Changing connections between elements (e.g., connecting or disconnecting flows or measurements).
- Altering model properties (e.g., Description, version description).
- Creating a new version of the model.
Element Count Mismatch
This error message is raised when the system detects that the number of elements in the model does not matches the number of graphic symbols in the display.
This can happen if the display was created with a different Sigmafine Model or if the model has been significantly modified (e.g., many elements were added or removed) since the display was last saved.
To resolve this issue, you can try to Synchronize Display with Model by opening the display with the Authoring application.
Analysis Name drop-down is empty
After opening a display, if the Analysis Name drop-down is empty, it indicates that the display is not properly linked to the Sigmafine Model. This can happen if the display was created with a different Sigmafine Model or if the model has been renamed since the display was last saved.
To resolve this issue, you can try to Synchronize Display with Model by opening the display with the Authoring application.
Warning: Renaming the Sigmafine Model is not recommended. Although it allows the display to open, you will not be able to select an analysis or case afterward.
Working Conditions
The following table provides a list of some of the conditions that may occur within the SFHub Visualizer interface, what causes them and what can be done to resolve them, if applicable.
Troubleshooting: Operational Conditions
| Condition | Cause(s) | Applicable Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| Sigmafine icon is red on the status bar | Indicates that your user session is not connect with the Sigmafine Server referenced by the display. Possible reasons could be: - You have insufficient rights to connect the AF Server. - The configured connection timeout to the Sigmafine Server might be not sufficient. - The Sigmafine Server is down or it is not reachable due to network problems. | Contact the Sigmafine System Administrator to check you user rights over the AF Server and database, where Sigmafine is installed. (You can easily check yourself your rights over the Sigmafine Server and database using the utility Check Sigmafine Servers Permissions available on your SFHub Dashboard). Contact the SFHub System Administrator to check and eventually increase the connection timeout to the Sigmafine Server registered in the SFHub application server. |
| Web Socket icon is red on the status bar | Indicates that the browser was not able to establish the web socket connection with the SigmafineHub application server. This issue might be due to following reasons: - The firewall was not correctly configured in order to allows the network traffic over TCP port used by the web sockets. - The SigmafineHub Application Server requires a tuning of its communication settings (see SigmafineHub Administration Guide.) | |
| Network icon is red on the status bar | Indicates that the physical network connection of the browser with the SFHub Application Server is interrupted. | Check your network connection. Eventually, contact your administrator for further support. If you are using a WiFi connection, check the link. Depending on the time required to fix the issue, your session is automatically reconnected, or you receive a Timeout notification. |
