Display Management

SFHub version 3.1 includes all the features that allows to manage displays in SFHub Visualizer in terms of:

  • Upload Display
  • Create Display
  • Export Display
  • Import Display
  • Share Display
  • Delete Display

Upload Display​

The Upload Display feature enables you to bring PI ProcessBook displays into SFHub Visualizer. Before importing, you must first convert your PI ProcessBook displays using the SFHub Display Converter, a separate standalone tool designed for this purpose. The SFHub Display Converter supports both Sigmafine and IMM displays from PI ProcessBook, converting them into a format compatible with SFHub Visualizer. The conversion process generates a display file with the .inp extension, which can then be uploaded into SFHub Visualizer (see Upload Display).

Warning

Uploading a converted PI Processbook display into SFHub Visualizer does not allow to select the model version.

Create Display​

You can create a new display using the SFHub Visualizer Authoring tools. For more information, see Create New Display.

Export/Import Display​

SignafineHub Visualizer provides the capability to export displays into a file format (.JSON) that can be imported into another SFHub Visualizer instance. This feature is particularly useful for sharing displays between different SFHub environments, such as development, testing, and production. See Export/Import Display for more information.

Enable/Disable Public Access to a Display​

When you upload a display, you are automatically assigned as its owner and the display is hidden from all other SFHub users except you. As the owner, you can grant all other SFHub users the ability to access and work with the display by enabling Public sharing on it. Once Public sharing is enabled, any SFHub user can view and work with the display in the SFHub Visualizer application. The ability to enable and disable Public sharing is controlled through a simple toggle in the display's Property panel. Enable/Disable Access to a Display Per Specific SFHub User​

As the owner of a display, in lieu of sharing your display publicly, you can choose to share it with specific SFHub users instead. Choose this sharing feature to assign access to specific SFHub users and control their permissions (what they are allowed to do), when working with the display. This feature can be enabled through the display's Property panel, but unlike the Public sharing feature, it requires you to choose the individuals and then to assign their individual permissions. Permissions and assignments can also be disabled as needed, using this feature. (See Share a Display with Individuals in this guide, for more details and instructions.)

Delete Display​

Any owner of a display has the ability to remove the display when it is no longer needed, or if it was uploaded by mistake. However, only the owner of a display has the ability to delete it using the display's Property panel. Deleted displays, are permanently removed from SigmafineHub. (See Delete Display in this guide for more details and instructions.)
