Configuring - Tank Volume Calculation Based on a Strapping Table
To configure a tank volume calculation based on a strapping table:
In the System Explorer navigation pane, click on Library.

From the library trees, select the tank Element you want to configure ( we selected 'SF_GuagedTankTemplate' in our example).
Click on the Attribute Templates tab.
In the Name column, select the Attribute to be configured.
The unit of measure for this Attribute must be in units of mass or volume.
Click on the Data Reference down-arrow and select Tank Volume From Gauge.
Click the Settings button to open the Tank Volume From Gauge Data Reference window.
Select the Calculation Type you want to use.
Note: If there is no strapping table for the selected tank, a "Create?" button appears in the window. Click the Create? button and then follow the steps found in Creating a Strapping Table to create a new strapping table. When asked if you want to create a new empty strapping table, click Yes.
Click Next.
The Tank Volume From Strapping Table window opens.

Select the Attributes using the following table as your guide.

Input Box / Button Description Gauge Attribute Select the gauge Attribute to use in the data reference. Length UOM Select the tank length unit of measure to use in the data reference. Volume / Mass UOM Select the mass or volume unit of measure to use in the data reference. This must be same UOM in the corresponding strapping table. Innage Table / Outage Table Select Table Type:Innage strapping is measured from the bottom tank reference point to the top of the tank.Outage strapping is measured from the top tank reference to the bottom of the tank. Maximum Capacity Attribute Select the Attribute for the maximum capacity. Field only available when you select the Outage Table type. Note: The Maximum Capacity Attribute only appears when the Outage Table is selected.
When finished, click the Finish button.
The following sample displays the configuration in the System Explorer window.
