Configuring - Cylindrical Horizontal Tank with Hemispherical Ends

To use the wizard to do a tank volume calculation for a cylindrical horizontal tank with hemispherical ends:

  1. Follow steps 1 through 8 under Configuring - Geometric Calculation, then continue with the steps below.

  2. In the Tank Volume From Gauge Data Reference window, select Cylindrical Horizontal with Hemispherical Ends as the geometric calculation.

  3. Select the Gauge attribute and Geometric Properties using the following table as a guide.

    Tank radius (R)Enter the radius of the tank.
    Tangent-to-tangent length (L)Enter the tangent-to-tangent length of the tank.

    Maximum capacity attributeSelect the Maximum Attribute to use in the data reference.
  4. When finished with the configuration, click Finish to save the configuration.
