Configuring - Cylindrical Horizontal Tank with One Hemi-Ellipsoidal End

To use the wizard to do a tank volume calculation for a cylindrical horizontal tank with one hemi-ellipsoidal end:

  1. Follow steps 1 through 8 under Configuring - Geometric Calculation, then continue with the steps below.

  2. In the Tank Volume From Gauge Data Reference window, select Cylindrical Horizontal Tank with One Hemi-Ellipsoidal End as the geometric calculation.

  3. Select the Gauge attribute and Geometric Properties using the following table as a guide.

    Tangent-to-head length(D)Enter length from tangent to end of the head.
    Geometric UOMSelect the volume unit of measure to use in the data reference.
    Maximum capacity attributeSelect the Maximum Attribute to use in the data reference.
  4. When finished with the configuration, click Finish to save the configuration.
