Density in Vacuum To/From Density in Air
Use the Density in Vacuum To/From Density in Air calculation for converting density in vacuum to density in air (Option 1) or for converting density in air to density in vacuum (Option 2).
Option 1 - Density in vacuum to density in air. This calculation is a function of this parameter.
- Density in vacuum
The density in air is calculated by using the following equation.
D = 1.00014992597 * DV – 0.00119940779543
Where:
D = density in air
DV = density in vacuum
Option 2 - Density in air to density in vacuum. This calculation is a function of this parameter.
- Density in air
The density in vacuum is calculated by using the following equation.
D = (DA + 0. 0.00119940779543) / 1.00014992597
Where:
D = density in vacuum
DA = density in air
EXAMPLES: Density in Vacuum To/From Density in Air
Example 1
A product in a tank has a density in vacuum of 0.873006 kg/l. Question: What is the density in air of this product?
DV = 0.873006 kg/l
Applying the Option 1 equations listed above, the calculated value for the density in air is the following:
D = 0.8719374785958945 kg/l
Example 2
A product in a tank has a density in air of 0.792005 kg/l. Question: What is the density in vacuum of this product?
DA = 0.792005 kg/l
Applying the Option 2 equations listed above, the calculated value for the density in vacuum is the following:
D = 0.7920061984819896 kg/l
