Connecting Using the Connector Tool

The Connector Tool can be used as an alternative to creating Element connections.

To create connections using the Connector Tool:

1. Open ProcessBook.

2. Click on the Elements tab.

3. Select the Flow Element for which you want to create (or edit) connections.

4. On the Drawing toolbar, click the Connection Tool icon.

5. Click and hold the Output port (Inventory Tank in the following figure) and drag it to the Input port of the flow (SF_Flow7).

   ;

   A connector line appears between the two ports.

   If the connection fails, click on the ends of the unconnected line, then drag and drop it at the appropriate port to connect it properly.

6. To associate the meter with the flow, click on the Connection Tool icon again.

7. Click and hold the undirected port of the meter and drag it to the undirected port of the flow.

Note: You do not have to drag a connector exactly to a port. The Sigmafine Modeler automatically determines the port to which you want to connect by the proximity of the nearest connection point. For elements such as meters, which have only one port, you can connect anywhere on the symbol.
