Managing IF Connections

Managing IF Connections involves maintaining the list of IF Servers to which you want Integration Framework to connect, and making sure that those connections work properly by keeping connection settings current and correct.

Most IF server connections can be managed from either the "Integration Framework - Configurator" window or the "IF Server Connections" window. Though there are two settings which can only be accessed from the "IF Server Connections" window; 'subscription' and 'watch dog'. Otherwise, both windows provide features for adding a new server, editing an existing server's connection settings, setting or editing advanced parameters and removing a server and testing and connecting a server.

Note: Please remember that in order to work with Integration Framework's Configurator tool, the Pimsoft.IF.Service service must be started. (See [Starting the IF Service](/DocumentDepot/DocSFHub/docs_2026/docs-sf-system/IF/Installation2-0/start-if-service) under Installation.)
