Installing IF CLIENT
You can run the setup program by using either a local or domain account. However, to use and automatically configure the domain credentials for Integration Framework security, we strongly suggest running the setup program with a domain/Active Directory account that has machine administrative privileges.
Installation Prerequisites
- Check the requirements for the Client installation.
- If you have any existing IF version components, you need to uninstall them.
- Verify that all prerequisite software has been installed correctly.
- Verify that you have the license file provided by Pimsoft.
- Verify that you have a user with administrative privileges.
- Verify that the Windows Firewall is disabled.
Install the IF Client
The following are the basic steps to follow when installing the Integration Framework Client (IF Client).
- Right-click on the Pimsoft Integration Framework Server.exe file and select Run as administrator.
- Following the wizard, install the IF Client.
Next Steps
Once the Client install is finished, perform the following:
Verify that the IF Configurator tool is installed. (See Confirming the Configurator Install).
Run the IF Configurator tool as an Administrator and add the new IF Server (WCF Server). (See Adding a New Server).
Note: The Server name should be the name of the 'IF Server' machine.
Ensure that the endpoint address in the WCFServiceHost.exe.config file displays the same name as the IF Server. See Checking WCFServiceHost.exe.config.
Connect to the IF Server. (See Connecting to the IF Server).
Test the connection. (See Testing and Connecting Servers).
You are now ready to start adding a "Connector" and a "Dataset."
