Definitions

Graphic Symbol or Symbol​

Visual objects contained in a display used to represent Model`s assets including objects’ properties, and behaviors.

A graphic symbol is typically connected to an Element of the Sigmafine Server or just used as a visual representation.

Graphic Template​

Virtual representation of a Graphic Symbol consists of a collection of Graphic Elements. Every Graphic Template consists of a main Graphic Element, typically a shape, and zero or many Texts (annotations).

Graphic Element​

The virtual definition of each visual object.

Visual Object​

Element objects visible in the display (text, square, rectangle, image, shape, text, connector, line, pre-fabs, etc.).

Sigmafine Server or AF Server or Server​

The Sigmafine Server includes all pertaining AF databases, programs and Plugins.

AF Database or Sigmafine Database or Database​

An AF database including Models, Elements and their Attributes.

Sigmafine Server Model or Model​

An AF Model defined in a Database.

Sigmafine Element Template or Template​

An AF Element Template of a specific Database.

Selection Box​

The selection marquee dragged in the canvas to select visual objects.

Whiteboard​

A display not associated to a SF Server (AF) using simplified Sigmafine approach for describing the Elements and connections. Whiteboard replaces third party design tools, such as Visio, Excel or PowerPoint, used during a Model design phase.

Whiteboard Transformation​

The process validating and transforming a simplified representation into a Model.

Element Annotation, Dynamic Text​

Element’s affixed text label showing its attributes and properties.

Text​

A graphic Element containing a dynamic or static text.

Shape​

A Graphic Element containing a symbol.

AF (AF Server)​

The Analytic Framework database server.

Session​

A SigmafineHub session where a user is logged on and has access to SFHub functionality using a web browser.

Symbol Library​

The Graphic Template container.

Custom Library or Custom Symbol Library​

A symbol library created by a User and associated with a specific Sigmafine Server.

Prefab​

Basic Graphic Template not related to Sigmafine Element Template but available in each Custom Library. Prefab are distributed with SFHub. Distributed Prefab are Text, Connector, SF Connector, Ellipse, Circle, Rectangle, Line and Arc.

SF Connection Prefab​

Derived from the “connector” prefab and used by SFHub for representing Model Connections. The SF Connection Prefab is the one selected by SFHub while automatically expanding the Model connections.

Can be used by users to graphically differentiate Model Connections from Graphical Connections.
