Modeler Preferences - Attributes Tab

The Attributes Tab allows you to specify where Attributes will be created relative to their associated element, and which Attributes are created automatically when you add an Element to a display.Figure 810: Modeler Preferences - Attributes tab

The following table provides a list of the available options and their descriptions.

Checkbox / Input BoxDescription
PositionAllows you to select the position of the Attribute value symbol relative to the Element when creating an element.
Create name label for attributeWhen checked (selected), a label symbol is created when you create an Element attribute.
PositionAllows you to select the position of the label relative to the label symbol, when creating an Element attribute.
Create default Attribute symbolWhen checked (selected), a value symbol is created for the default Attribute when creating an element. You can specify the default Attribute on the 'General' tab of an Element template.
Create additional Attribute symbolsAllows you to specify Attributes for which symbols are created when creating an element. Separate multiple Attributes with a semicolon. This creates the Attribute symbol for each Element that has a matching Attribute name.
