Element Properties - Ports Tab

Use the Ports tab to view the connectivity ports as defined by the Element template.

The following table provides descriptions for each of the inputs found under the Ports tab.

Input Box / Button / Checkbox	Description
Group by: Template	(Optional) Check the Template checkbox to organize ports by template names.
Name	Read only.Displays the name for the port.
Description	Read only.Displays the description for the port.
Port Type	Read only.Displays the port type; Input, Output, or Undirected (for meters, for example).
Allowed Categories	Read only.Displays the categories to which the port is allowed to be a member.
Maximum Connections	Ready only.Displays the maximum number of connections that can be made to the port.
Connection Type	Read only.Displays the Element types to which the port can be connected; node, measurement, flow, transfer, boundary, and other.
Allowed Template	Read only.Displays the Element templates for the elements that are allowed to connect to the port.
