Save an Existing Project as New

In SFHub Studio, you can save an existing project as a new project with a different name, and then alter the new project as necessary.

To save an existing project as a new one:

  1. Open your Studio Projects dashboard, if not already opened.

To open, click Home in the command bar.

    Studio Projects - project ellipsis

  1. Locate the existing project you want to use.

  2. Click the vertical ellipsis in the top-right corner of the project block (as shown in Figure 1) to display the Project quick menu (as shown in Figure 2).

Project quick menu - select Save As

  3. Click Save As on the quick menu.

A Save as [old project name] panel opens.

    Save as [old project name]

  4. Highlight the current project Name and type a new name over it.

  5. Click the x to the right of the Sigmafine context you want to replace in your new project ( as shown in Figure 3).

Note that when you remove a context, all other contexts that follow it are removed as well, allowing you to make new, applicable selections (as shown in Figure 4).

Example: Removed SFDatabase level - results

  6. Select the context(s) that you want to use for the new project.

  7. Change the description to reflect your new project.

As you create the project, you are automatically set as its "owner". As the owner, you can determine whether or not to make the project "public", meaning that everyone is able to see your project on their Studio Projects dashboards. You can also share parts or all of the project with specific individuals, but only after the project has been saved. When you share a project, you can also determine what the person is allowed to do within the project by assigning specific rights (view, read, write, delete, etc.). For more information about public access and sharing rights, see Access Control.

  8. Click Save.

Your project is saved and now visible on your Studio Projects dashboard.
