Get Database, Model, Analysis Names and Case

In order to select data, the context of that data (specific Model and times) must be known. The Database/Model Analysis/Case option allows you to select the Sigmafine Server, database name, and Model name within the selected database, Model analysis, as well as the Case for the selected model. This information provides the context for the other SF Add-In functions on the spreadsheet when referenced within those functions.

To get the database, Model analysis names and case:

1. In Excel, select the cell into which you want the information to be brought.

2. From the SF tab Find Data section, select Database/Model Analysis/Case.

   The Database, Model Analysis, Case Search window opens.

3. Click the System down-arrow and select the system where the Sigmafine Server is running.

4. Click the Database down-arrow and select the database.

   This selection is dependent on the Sigmafine Server selection.

5. Click the Model down-arrow and select the model.

   This selection is dependent on the Database selection.

6. Click the Model Analysis down-arrow and select the Model analysis.

   This selection is dependent on the Model selection.

7. Click the Cases down-arrow and select the case.

   This selection is dependent on the Model Analysis selection.

8. In the Output box, type the reference of the cell in which the information is to start appearing in the spreadsheet, or click the ellipsis button to select the cell from another window.

9. (Optional) Check the Show Case Only checkbox if you want only the Case to be brought into the spreadsheet.

   Leave the box unchecked if you want the all of the information, including the case, to be brought into the spreadsheet.

10. Select whether to add elements to the spreadsheet in rows (Row) or columns (Column).

11. Click OK to add the returned information to the spreadsheet.
