Create Display Settings

Display Settings are used to control the layout and selection of Elements when they are viewed in the Display and Details panels. You can create multiple display settings and apply them to one or more displays that exist in the "path" that has been selected in the Display Setting layout. See "Apply Display Settings" for more details.

info

When a display is imported into SFHub Visualizer, if an ADA configuration is available, SFHub Visualizer automatically creates a Display Setting importing the ADA configuration.

There are several ways in which you can define a Display Setting:

  • Based on a specific SF Server and SF Database (These two settings are required when creating a Display Setting)
  • Based on a specific SF Server, SF Database and SF Model display
  • Based on a specific SF Server, SF Database, SF Model display and SF Analysis

The selections you choose to define a Display Setting ultimately determines the displays to which it can be applied. For example:

  • If you create a Display Setting in which you have defined only the SF Server and SF Database, then you can apply the Display Setting to only those Model displays on that SF Server that use that selected SF Database.
  • If you create a Display Setting in which you have defined the SF Server, SF Database, and the SF Model display, then you can apply the Display Setting to only that specific SF Model display.
  • If you create a Display Setting in which you have defined the SF Server, SF Database, SF Model display and the SF Analysis, then you can apply that Display Setting to only those Model displays that contain the specified SF Analysis.

The following topics provide the steps for creating Display Settings.
