Interconnections

Chart Visuals on a report could be interconnected. The Interconnections panel allows to configure interactions between visuals having common data. If you select a data on one visual (Source Visual), the other visual on the page that contains that data changes, based on that selection. In other words, selecting a data in one visual on a report page cross-filters the other visuals on the page.

The panel is divided into two sections; Source Visual and Filter.

Source Visual

The Source Visual section includes the following settings:

  • Name - The ID of the Source Visual object. Once the visual object has been chosen, you can ask the report editor to highlight the selected visual on the design area by clicking on the (eye) icon.
  • Column - The name of the column in the Source Visual object where you would configure the interconnection action when the column is clicked.

Filter

The Filter section includes the following settings:

  • Column - The name of the column in the current visual object where you would configure the filter condition.
  • Match - The filter condition criteria to be applied.
Info :

Source and destination columns must evaluate to the same data type and content.
