Integration Framework Components

The Integration Framework (IF) is formed by three components and a Data Link Library (DLL):

  • Server (SVR): This component is the core of the system. It is an engine containing all the objects and the business logic that manages the integration scenarios. The component also manages all the configurations, coordinates all the integration executions and it carries-out all the services needed by the integration. It provides the engine service for the integrations. For more details see Server Component.
  • Configurator (GUI): This component is the (graphical user) interface that you use to interact with Integration Framework. For more details see Configurator.
  • IF Changer (Migration Tool) (CHG): This component is a tool for changing and migrating the configuration across multiple Integration Framework installations. It is labeled as the "Changer Tool," hence the 'CHG' code name. For more details see Integration Framework Migration Tool.
  • Data Reference (IFDR): This is a Standard DR Data Link Library (.dll) file that is used by PI-AF to consume Integration Framework data. For more details see IF Data Reference .
