Server Component
The Integration Framework Server component is a Microsoft Windows service that runs on the operating systems listed \under Software Requirements. It is built on a .NET 4.6 (64 bits platform) framework and therefore, can communicate through all components with dedicated protocol using Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) transport layer technology. The following TCP communication ports are used for the Integration Framework Server communication:
| 6601 | Definition/Structures |
|---|---|
| 6607 | Data streaming |
The Integration Framework SOA transport layer is granted by the adoption of the Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) technology, while the SOA data abstraction layer is compliant with standard XML DIFFGRAMM representation.
Upon start-up, the Integration Framework server checks for a license through the already defined license schema (XML file). Depending on the features enabled in the license definition, the server will open the communication channels and load all the IF objects according to the license entries found. However, if the license is not loaded or found, the IF server will not run. For further information about license management, please see the Licensing \ topic.
