Editable Comments for Transfers

Editable comments can be added to Transfers. Columns must be added for the additional fields you want to include, as shown in the following figure. The 'Adjustment Comment' column should be included for any of the Attributes that are being adjusted and need a custom comment in the Asset Framework (AF) database.

For example, using the import file in the following figure, the NetVolume, MeasuredMass and Material Attributes for TK 103 will have specific comments entered in AF when their values are adjusted.

The Adjustment Comment columns do not need to be added to the excel file if the default comments are adequate for the newly imported transfers. By default, the Data Importer application will use “Adjustment from Data Importer” as the standard comment to fill the comment field in AF, All these comments should be immediately to the right of the respective Attribute.

The ADJUSTMENTCOMMENT_GENERAL column provides a means for users to specify default comments for all Attributes of the element. This column must be the very last column to the right in the file. For example, if an Attribute needs to use a general comment, the “ADJUSTMENTCOMMENT_\<attributename\>” column would be left blank or excluded from the file, and the general comment would be used for all Attributes in that element. If an Attribute comment or a general comment is not specified, the application defaults to the standard comment.
