Integration Framework (IF) 1.1

Sigmafine lives in complex application environments and needs to be integrated with several business and production systems depending on the applicative scenario to be implemented.

A Sigmafine project considers the integration of different systems depending on your business and process needs. This integration involves key data from third-party systems, as well as exporting the data to other systems. Some of the systems that IF can integrate with are:

  • Historians (PI System, Yokogawa, Honeywell, etc.)
  • LIMS
  • Oil Movement Systems
  • ERP (e.g. SAP)
  • Reporting tools (Microsoft Reporting Services, Cristal Reports, etc.)
  • Web

In corporate and enterprise environments, there are many integration scenarios that need to be considered and assessed prior to starting an integration project. Depending on your system and the business requirements, there can be multiple or different solutions required to reach the objective and therefore, several considerations to take into account to accomplish those objectives, such as: 

  • Collecting versus reference
  • Manually triggered versus automatic (unattended)
  • Daily and Batch versus real-time
  • Direct integration versus text file exchange
  • Data exposure versus publishing

Integration Framework fits these needs by providing a smart and lightweight component capable of integrating corporate and enterprise scenarios with heterogeneous systems, closing the typical applications gaps.
