Integration Framework (also called "IF") is a lightweight SOA integration engine, capable of integrating Sigmafine and PI–AF in corporate and enterprise scenarios with diverse systems. IF provides Connectors, Datasets, Triggers, Services and Integration Rules as basic building blocks for integrations such as the following:

• Referencing external data inside Sigmafine or PI-AF
• Exporting PI-AF data and Sigmafine results to any kind of third-party system
• Posting PI-AF data and Sigmafine results to SAP
• Bi-directional asset synchronization with third-party systems and enterprise repositories
• PI-AF and Sigmafine results data exposure in SOA environment (even already built business views)

The IF engine presents several benefits to the integration process that allows for a clean configuration, avoiding as much custom-made integration as possible and minimizing the integration effort. In addition, it improves integration maintenance and provides simple ways to extend integration.
