Upgrade Sigmafine 4.5 or 4.6.x to 4.7 R2

The upgrade from Sigmafine 4.5 or 4.6.x to 4.7 R2 involves the following main steps.

  1. Uninstall Existing 4.5 or 4.6 Pimsoft Sigmafine Server & Client Components.
  2. Open the Windows Control Panel.
  3. Uninstall Sigmafine Server and Client components.
  4. Uninstall all other Sigmafine server components listed below, that you may have installed on your system:

  • Sigmafine ADA

  • Sigmafine Modeler

  • Sigmafine Client

  • Sigmafine Server

    Note: Please check with Pimsoft Technical Support to properly upgrade the other products.

  1. Upgrade PI AF Server to release 2018 SP3 (2.9.6.195).

  2. Install Sigmafine Server and Client 4.7 R2.

    This installation is straightforward; however, please keep the following in mind:

  • Remember to right click the setup kit and select run as administrator.
  • You can follow the setup to the end, where you see a confirmation of the components installed.
  • The setup kit is the same for both the Sigmafine Server and Sigmafine Client.
  • When initializing the installation, you will be prompted to choose either Sigmafine Server install, Sigmafine Client install, or both.

  1. Install Sigmafine Modeler 4.7 R2.

  2. Install Sigmafine ADA 4.7 R2.

  3. Install Sigmafine SQL Access Client & Server 4.7 R2.

  4. Install Sigmafine Excel Add-In 4.7 R2.

  5. Check/Copy Sigmafine license files.

    The Sigmafine license files must be copied (or already existing) in the following system folders:

  • For 32-bit systems: C:\Windows\System32\
  • For 64-bit systems: C:\Windows\System32\ and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
