Service Management Tab

The Service Management tab enables the users to control the Publishing Service directly.Figure 1136: Publishing Service Controls

The Service Management tab has the following options:

  • Start Mode: Allows an administrator to switch the Start Mode of the service to one of three different states:

  • Manual

  • Automatic

  • Disabled

    If the service is switched to 'Disabled', the service does not allow Status Controller requests until the Start Mode is switched back to either 'Manual' or 'Automatic'.

  • Status Controller: Allows an administrator to start or stop service requests.

If you make a change to either the Start Mode or Status Controller settings, you must click the Save Changes icon for the request to be submitted.

Note: The Service Management feature may be disabled when the domain account under, which the Web Server is running, does not have sufficient privileges to allow for service control.
