What is a Model?

A Model is a collection of elements and their relationships to each other (their connections). Elements in the Model include any place where the connections are rerouted, split or joined, and any place at which there is a measurable value. Models can be simple, containing only a small number of elements, or they can be very complex, containing thousands of elements and measurements. The size of the Model is only limited by the data available to fulfill the information requirements of an analysis on the model.
