Primary Menu

The Primary Menu consists of five main tasks, each containing their own set of options: File, Publisher, Configurator, Admin, and Help.

File Menu

The File menu contains three options; Connect to Sigmafine Services, Refresh Sigmafine Database List and Exit. The following table provides a description for each menu option.

File Menu Options

Connect to Sigmafine ServicesThe 'Connect to Sigmafine Services' option opens the "Connect to Sigmafine Services" log in window which is required to secure a connection with the SQL Access services. The window opens at the start of the application, but if you should ever need to connect again, you can open the log in window through File menu.EXAMPLE: Connect to Sigmafine Services window![Figure 1131: Connect to Sigmafine Services windowIn the 'Connect to Sigmafine Services' window, you have a “Save Server Connection” checkbox option that when checked, saves the server name so that each time the window is opened, the Server box is automatically populate with the server name. This feature requires the local file directory has read/write privileges for all users. \Please see Install the SQL Access Client Kit for more information about how the local file directory should be handled for the Client application.
Refresh Sigmafine Database ListThe 'Refresh Sigmafine Database List' option forces a refresh of the database list being used in the Left-Side Pane Controls. Please note that these side-pane controls are explained under Other Primary Menu Options.
ExitThe 'Exit' option allows you to close the application.

Publisher, Configurator and Admin Menus

The Publisher, Configurator, and Admin menus are displayed based on your log-in credentials. For example, if you do not have 'Admin' privileges, then you do be see the 'Admin' menu. The Publisher, Configurator, and Admin menus do not contain sub-menus. Instead, they open windows containing the corresponding SQL Access features and controls.

Help Menu

The Help menu opens a sub-menu containing and About option that opens the 'About SQL Access' window. The About SQL Access window allows you to view the currently installed version number or license information of Sigmafine SQL Access. In addition, all server licenses are viewable from the window, including: License type, the name of the server, and the date of the license expiration.
