Preinstallation Configuration Steps​

Ensure that you have done the following prior to installing the Sigmafine Client using the Sigmafine Server & Client installation kit on a Client machine:

  1. Installed PI AF Client 2.10.9
  2. Opened PI System Explorer “as Administrator” to finalize the registry of the PI AF Client installation.

If both steps listed above have not been completed, you will not be able to install the Sigmafine Analysis tab correctly. Sigmafine Analysis is included in the Sigmafine Server & Client installation kit as part of the Sigmafine Client installation, but it requires the following post-Installation configuration steps.

Note: All installations require administrative privileges on the server and client machines.

Post-Installation Configuration Steps​

  1. Place the Sigmafine Server & Client 4.7 R2.exe in a location on the local machine where all Sigmafine Client Users on that machine can access it.
  2. After an administrator has completed the Sigmafine Client installation, each additional user that requires access to the Sigmafine Analysis tab, must re-run the install while logged onto their user by use of the “Modify” option presented when you re-run the executable. The Re-run of the installation will also require administrative privilege.
  3. Once finished, each user can verify the operation’s success by opening their PI System Explorer Application.
  4. Be sure to check both the 64bit and 32bit instances of PI System Explorer for the Sigmafine Analysis tab, as the installation kit only installs the 'AFPlugInSigmafineAnalysis.dll' plug-in in the directory considered as the default for the installation on the local machine.
  5. Once installed, the 'AFPlugInSigmafineAnalysis.dll' plug-in can be copied over to whichever PI System Explorer directory (64bit or 32bit) you prefer. See Sigmafine Client Installation for more information on what directories the plug-in can be in.
