Convergence

Convergence The convergence factor is used when the Sigmafine solver is performing a non-linear balance. In this case, the solver uses convergence settings to know when a solution has been found. Used with the Gradient and Maximum Iterations settings.

  • Linear (mass balance) – The equation has the following form.

  • Non-linear (density balance) – The equation has the following form.

Convergence parameters apply to nonlinear balances (heat, component and density), which are iterative.
