Gross Error Analysis Rule
Use Gross Error Analysis to identify problems in a Model not due to instrument inaccuracies, but rather modeling errors, missing values, data entry errors, and instrument failure. This appendix describes how to use these two analysis rules: General Gross Error Analysis and Post Reconciliation Gross Error Analysis. These analyses can be applied to Models that are based on Sigmafine Element templates. You can run these analysis rules as independent analyses, or as a validation step, as a part of a mass or volume balance analysis.
The parameters and Attributes required by the General and Post Reconciliation Gross Error Analysis plug-ins are specified with a configuration string. This string determines the data required by the analysis rule and the results to report. You can specify the configuration string graphically, through the dialog-based wizard supplied with the analysis rules, or by editing the string directly through the Excel based system management tools. Both methods are described in this document.
