Set Mass Calculation and Component Array for Elements

Elements that participate in the mass balance must have a mass calculated for each flow, transfer and inventory Element in the model. The elements that also have known component fractions must use the Component Data Reference to configure an array of components.\ For configuration information, see the "Components Data Reference" section in the Sigmafine Data Reference manual.\For configuration information see the topic under Data Reference.

Self-Calculated Mass

If an inventory mass is not measured and you want it to be calculated during the component mass balance, you must make two settings:

  • Set the attribute SelfCalculatingFlag to True in the element.
  • Set the ReconciledMass value in the initialization case. The analysis rule uses the reconciled value Attribute in each prior Case for initialization. Therefore, you must set the mass manually in the first case. To set the value of the mass, create an adjustment in the mass attribute. \Adjustments are described in Creating an Adjusted Value found under Server & Client.

Calculated Component Data

For inventory elements without an attached analyzer Element in the Model you need to set the reconciled component data Attribute manually before these elements can participate in the component mass balance. You can do this initialization with the Component Data Reference after the first component mass balance analysis Case is created. This procedure is described in Initializing Components for Self-Calculated Inventory.
